Training without a qualifying license
Submit the correct out-of-state or out-of-country application with the school training Form B. The school completes the training verification and the applicant signs as directed.
Deficiency review
The Board determines whether the training meets California requirements. If additional hours are required, it sends a deficiency letter. Apprentice hours from another jurisdiction are not accepted through this school-training transfer process.
Experience equivalency
California law may credit qualifying outside practice at the rate of each three months of practice equaling 100 hours, subject to documentation and Board review.
